Five Couples Left In The Running For £15,000 Win A Wedding Competition
¡¡
Thousands may have entered but we are now down to just five couples desperate to wed. This £15,000 prize from the Derby Telegraph would definitely cover the majority of dream weddings, making this prize so sought after.
There is a lengthy list of reasons why these couples have not already tied the knot. From financial difficulties, a loss of family members to touring with the Army these couples have faced many obstacles in which they have overcome. However, this greatly commendable prize pushes all wedding worries aside and will provide the winner with that special day they so passionately desire.
Jim Boam, Derby Telegraph promotions co-ordinator, said: ¡°The five couples have done really well to get to this stage.
It is clear the public has really warmed to their stories and that¡¯s why they have voted for them.
¡°We would like to thank all those couples who entered the competition. We wish the best of luck to all the finalists.¡±
The organisation asked the couples to explain why they want to win.
Erin Kenny and Jake Brown said: ¡°We are keen to get married as Jake is in the Army and it would be a lot better as we would be able to live together and not spend so much time apart. Saving up is extremely hard as we both work long hours and have two lots of accommodation and travel expenses to pay for. Jake has just completed a tour of Afghanistan and time together is very precious. I am currently working in a care setting and, on such a low wage, affording a wedding seems a long way off.¡±
